For years I have been exploring memory through the ephemeral state of nature. My series Déjà Vu questions the act of tracing memory and the dreamlike state that occurs when we feel a sense of familiarity in a present situation. The juxtaposition of repetition, layers, and color form a tension between abstraction and representation giving rise to an act of remembrance as much as aesthetics of joy.
